The Magic Staff is a powerful tool crafted by King Magnifico, the ruler of the fictional kingdom of Rosas. The staff is designed to absorb the power of a magical entity known as Star. In the film, King Magnifico uses his magical powers to extract the wishes of his subjects, keeping them in a chamber high above the city, and choosing one wish in a ceremony to allow it to come true. However, Asha, a 17-year-old girl, discovers that Magnifico is more of a hoarder of wishes than a granter.
Driven mad by a forbidden spell, Magnifico becomes obsessed with capturing Asha and Star. He crafts the Magic Staff to absorb Star's power. However, his plans are thwarted when he is ultimately trapped inside his own Magic Staff.
