Sabino is Asha's grandfather, who at the age of 100, is still patiently waiting for his wish to be granted. However, Asha isn't as patient and really wants King Magnifico to grant his wish.

Sabino is a kind and loving grandfather and both he and Asha maintain a sweet relationship. He likes playing the mandolin. In addition to be a loving father-in-law to Sakina and grandfather to Asha, Sabino also remembers his late son fondly and mournfully notes to Asha how her father would have been horrified if he had lived to see what Rosas had ultimately become under Magnifico.
